As much as the movie follows a linear story, its really up to the viewer's age range if they'll really enjoy it or not.

I can tell you it was awesome! I'll give you a brief synopsis so you know a little about the movie. The chipmunks managed to get into Dave's (the main human character) house through some twist and turns, but Dave throws them out thinking they would be more of a pest. However, the chipmunks impress Dave when they show him their ability to sing. Dave then showed the chipmunks to his old friend and boss, Ian Hawke who was equally impressed with the chipmunks. After a while, the chipmunks heard a number of lies from Ian about Dave and the chipmunks believed Ian. Besides, they also feel Dave puts too many strict rules on them. So, the chipmunks follow Ian and had to sing for Ian (Ian is the CEO of a music recording company). After a while, the chipmunks missed Dave and wanted to go back to him but Ian comes up with a lot of mischief to keep the chipmunks. Will he succeed? You'll need to watch the movie to find out! =)

I think I am going to take my daughter to see it. I haven't seen it myself yet, but it looks like it's going to be pretty cute!

I want to see it everytime the trailer comes on tv my daughter is glued to the screen watching it and laughing I have never taken her to the movie theater before though it might just be here first movie at the cinema.

I have not watched the movie yet. However, I do beliee that the movie will be good. Both of my sisters went to go see the movie. They said that they thuroughly enjoyed it. Now, I do not believe that they were just saying this because both of them are very capable of forming their own opinions without that much influence. I believe that it will be worth the little money that it will cost to go see the movie.
