What toy would you like to be 'the best toy of 2007', and please give an argument why you think this is the best toy of this year.
Personally I think it's a tricky question, and it might be easier to put it into categories; by age or by subject (sports/videogames/boardgames/etc).
For me it would be the following:
- Best action figures (girls) - my little pony (sorry guys, I'm a big fan)
They are colourfull and friendly looking, non-anorexic like some dolls and come with accesoiries. They are collectable which children often like a lot. Also, they are affordable and easy to clean.
- Best action figures (boys) - Not sure, I haven't seen a lot of these toys to be honest so I can't give a good argument on this one.
- Best board game - Party & Co, it's not new but I love it. It has lots of different questions and activities which makes it fun even after playing it for a long while, and it has something that interests everyone. As a total non-boardgame fan I dó like this one which says a lot :)
- Best console - WII, because of the activity it takes to play most games, it will not help against the obesity with kids because real sports are still better in that case but it does help. And even more important; it makes movement fun and the games are hilarious, you can share them with your friends. Only too bad it's so expensive :(
- Best PC/console game - Big Brain academy for the WII; this makes learning fun :) Yeah I'm one of those people who likes to learn and I find it important children do so too; learning has to be fun! This makes stuff like math intesting and fun, other than making plain rows of sums. You can see your own progress which is fun, you can keep improving yourself or race others. Lots of options and games.
Best outdoor gaming - ? I guess skeelers are still doing pretty well here in Holland, but I can't argument that so I need to pass.
If anyone thinks of something else please comment.
I would love to see how you think about this subject as I'm a social studies student :)
