Do speed reading courses really work?

This is something I'm really interested in. I have a relatively high IQ, but I'm also dyslexic and so my reading speed and comprehension is really slow. I hate it. I love to read, but I get embarrassed at how long it takes me sometimes. I wish I could speed the process up.

I read an article just the other day in Psychologies Magazine about just this. A woman was really impressed by the course she took and said it helped her no end. She was talking about all these techniques she'd learned that helped her but she didn't give any details unfortunately about what these were. The course she went to was called, "PhotoReading".
