Why do you enjoy playing Sports and who influenced you?  | |  My dad asked me this question last night. This came up because I am going to be entering a life in the sports industry studying sports administration. He asked me, why do you enjoy sports so much. After thinking for a few seconds I told him that I played because I loved the competition aspect of it followed by being with friends and having a good time.
He told me how when I was younger he found that I was a very competitive person so he put me in a sport that I would enjoy and he said that he was amazed at the amount of friends i have made because of playing sports. He said it was never his intention for me to make friends from playing sports. It is just really interesting to me because a lot of people make friends different ways(school, soccer, etc).
So why do you enjoy playing sports and how did you start, did you have an influence?

| | | | | | 1.  joey_matthews (5043) | 10 months ago |  From a young age I realized that I was pretty good at most sports, I changed from various types and the more I switched the more I learnt. The biggest joy was when I played football (soccer), I quickly became in love with the sport just like a lot of others. I followed it like an eagle and even dreamed of playing professionally, out of all the sports this was the one I felt most at home playing and I was actually quite decent.
Who influenced me?
My grandfather and brother played the most important roles, it wasn't until i was 7 or 8 and watching footballers skill when I adpated a flair for being like a player. I recall when dennis bergkamp signed for my favourite team= arsenal, he was exactly how I wanted to play. I used to minic his style and it wasn't long until i was being spotted for having good creativity.
He brought a lot of depth into my game but I aslo looked up to many others.
