Beware Of This Company-A Total Ripoff |
|
I dont' know if any of you do the "pay per click" sites to pick up a little extra cash but I had a really bad experience with this one and thought I'd warn everyone. The site is called snapdollars.com. I requested a payout (finally) from them a few weeks ago. The amount was only $28.00. This company is based in Canada. I live in the U.S. The check said it would be honored by the Royal Bank of Canada in New York City. I've been doing paid surveys, ptc, and other things for several years. Imagine my surprise when the check WASN'T honored! All my bank could tell me was that it was returned and the reason was "check could not be cleared". I emailed the company about a month ago and to date, have never heard back from them. Needless to say, I cancelled my membership. The worst part is, not only did I not earn the $28.00, I was charged a $10.00 returned check fee, and since I keep a very low balance in my checking account, two other transactions bounced! This little fiasco ended up costing me exactly $107.00. Bottom line: stay away from this site, and advise everyone you know to do so.

1. goodnightmoon (1844) | 1 year ago | Wow, thank you for the warning! I've heard of Snap Dollars and see their ads all over, but haven't ever thought of joining. Now I will definitely avoid the site. It's unfortunate that you canceled your membership so quickly. I wouldn't waste anymore time on the site, but still stay a member in attempt to get the money you are owed! Especially since they ended up costing YOU $10! So they should pay for that as well. It seems like there are more and more scams out there now that people realize it's an easy way to make money. It's frustrating to trust these sites anymore!

oneandonemakesix (24074) | 1 year ago | If you are not going to cancel make sure you try to log in every 1-2 weeks so your account doesn't get cancelled. I hate it when online sights are frauds, because they don't have the charges you do... And because of this, I stick with such a very ery few sights. Mooch

goodnightmoon (1844) | 1 year ago | Most sites do take awhile to respond, unless they are new and don't have a large member count yet. Can you still contact them? Or was that just via the website? I'm sorry for your loss. I'm waiting on almost $400 from another site, and I'm afraid I may never see that money:( I'm learning to stick with only a few sites too, oneandonemakesix. Unfortunately, even trustworthy site owners may not pay when/if they shut down the site.

| lowery1101 (70) | 10 months ago | guys and girls, ALWAYS cashout as soon as you reach the minimum. Dont wait around to save your money for a big cashout, you never know what could happen! Even on the sites that I trust the most, I cashout immediately when I reach the minimum payout. I may make 2 or 3 cashouts in a week...but oh well...lol...I got my money!
| |
|
|
goodnightmoon (1844) | 10 months ago | I COMPLETELY agree lowery1101! You make nothing keeping your earnings in a website. And I've learned from experience that legit sites CAN (and most likely WILL) become scams when they decide to shut down. Once their reputation doesn't depend on word of mouth, they keep the unpaid earnings... and with sites taking up to 6-7 months, that's a huge profit for them!

3. oneandonemakesix (24074) | 1 year ago | I am so sorry, and most of the paid to clicks I belong to pay via paypal, or have a good track record for paying and have gotten testimonies for payment. I have gotten really tired of get paid to sights, simply because you can only do the offers once....no matter how many sights you belong to. So I have to aay I'm truly sorry that you have had the bad experience, I think I have signed up for them but I never did anything with them, because they were the same old same old offers that I already did. I wish the bank would cut you a break because of the error on the check that was not your fault, I usually deposit my checks in a seperate bank account so while I may end up with a small charge where I'm not counting on the money.....or if htere was a charge, I would not bounce things on my main account. I don't know if you can, but find out who you can file with, if you can an organization with in Canada, if they have an equivalent of BBB here in the US Mooch

6. Amanda_NZ (114) | 1 year ago | Thank you for the warning of this site although I am not a member and was not looking to joining. I was wanting more to respond to the fees you incurred over this fiasco and and let you know that I sympathsize with you. It makes me very angry that the check one banks in good faith and is dishonoured for whatever reason - the bank charges the check holder which should not happen. The fees incurred should be put on the person whose check it was written. It seems the banks are placing more and more fees etc to their customers. These banks would not be in business without their customers banking their money with them to lend out to others with interest!

7. Kowgirl (2256) | 1 year ago | Thanks for the heads up . I do hope you file a complaint. I don't accept checks for that very reason. And if I do get one I will call to see if that account is still open and ask if there is enough to cover said check, even if it is just $10. better safe than sorry. If not I will not cash the check and ask for a money order. I will return the uncashed check and let them know why. Why should we be made to pay for their no "rubber" checks?
