Was anyone suckered for the 2nd Police show in Philly?

It was scheduled in November and canceled the day before the show...I spent $400+ on tickets for my birthday and The Police are now announcing dates in China. Has anyone heard anything? I really think it's because they didn't sell out, since Sting sang the following night in Charlotte! I'm bummed, since I saw them in July but horrible seats and these were floor seats!

At least, they could have done that.
Honestly! I have heard of stuff like this
happening before.
The performers get so bloated with their own fame.
And then they expect a sell out crowd and when it
doesn't happen, they just don't show up.
It's not worth it to them.
That sucks for fans,though.
We are the one who suffers.
They can just move on.

I just sold the tickets at a loss--Stub Hub's going to hold onto my money for a week (which stinks), but I'm glad of them being gone.
I think they just assumed that they would be able to get a sell out crowd--the tickets went on sale about 6 weeks after their first sell-out show in Philly and it was to be my birthday gift, since they WERE my favorite band. Unfortunately, the show was postponed by Sting the night before (yet he could perform the very next night with the flu???
) and to make matters worse, the show wasn't rescheduled for months!
And on my ex-husband's birthday, so I probably would have gone by myself anyway!
I'm just glad they're gone...I mean, yes, the opening act is better (instead of Sting's son, it would have been Elvis Costello this time around), but I'm so disappointed in all three of them that I've no longer got a burning desire to see them (unless it's on TV that I'm not paying for!)

The only time that I have ever seen the Police was when they first came to the USA way back in 1979! LOL! :)
I was working in a club back then when they appeared on a three band show... The Cramps and Pretty Poison were the other acts, I think...
I haven't been able to see them at all sinse then as something always happens to get in the way.
I always thought it was just me! LOL! :)

I remember Pretty Poison from the 80's.
They had glammed up a lot by then.
