Who is your all time favorite Redskin?

Yes,Riggo was my favorite when I was younger.You are right,he'd go right thru there like a hot knife in butter.That's why they called him "The Diesel."

My mom casually mentioned she had met Joe Thiesman and I was floored. She even get him to sign a football for my dad. It was back when she worked for this bank, and they sent her in the limo with the chauffer (sp?) to pick him up from the airport.

I know a few people that have met him and they all said he was a snob.One of my friends used to work at the 7-11 near his house and she said he would always come in and not say Hi,Good Morning,Thank you,Good bye,nothing!

I took my boys to a charity basketball game,years ago,at a local highschool and Darrell Green and some other Redskins were there and I got autographs.My husband saw Art Monk in a pareking lot one morning before he went to work and he got me his autograph.I got Darrell Green's again at the Expo center over here.We saw Gus Ferrotte,when he was here,at the Blockbuster's one day.I got John Riggins autograph at a Macy's store opening here one year.It helps when you only live 15 miles from Redskin's Park.

Honestly, my mom said he was nice to her and all, but she didn't get a good feeling about him, and really didn't like him that much. I just think to meet a famous person is cool. My dad was in the Dallas airport a few years ago, he went in the bathroom, and then realized he was peeing right next to Jerry Rice, LOL.

Peeing next to Jerry Rice,that is something to put in the memory book,lol.Yes,it is cool to meet someone famous.

Yes,Joe Gibbs counts.I was so glad when he came back.Iam sad that he left,but understand why.I think when Sean was killed it hit home for him.I think he started deciding then to spend more quality time with his grandkids and other family members.That was horrible that Sean Taylor was murdered! We all went to bed that night with the last word was,that he was getting better.To wake up and see that he's dead.The whole thing was a shock.His funeral was on TV here.I feel so sorry for his little girl!Joe Gibbs has tremendous faith,most of the Redskins do.He has a pastor at Redskins Park.I hope they have Greg Williams be the new head coach.Because I feel that too much more change for the players right now,will not work out good.They are used to greg and Greg knows how things are there.

They are required to interview minority candidates, but I don't see them going anywhere but with Gregg Williams.

I hope they go with Greg.From what they are saying on the news is that Joe Gibbs want Dan Snyder to go with Greg too.I think he will.Did you see the press conference when Joe Gibbs announced his retirement? Or did they just show that in this area? Dan Snyder was crying.I believe he respects Joe Gibbs opinion highly. Not,Cower.I can't stand him.All he does is yell at his team.Terrible attitude!

I saw the press conference on ESPN. It was sad. I wish he would have made it to the Super Bowl.

Me too,but they dia great job making it as far as they did with all the engeries and the upsetting time with Sean's murder.

I can't stand Terrel Owens,he has an attitude problem!My favorite teams are the Redskins,Tennessee Titans,Carolina Panthers,Miami Dolphins,Chicago Bears and the Bronco's and Eagles are pretty good.My oldest son loves the Eagles.

I have to agree with you on Joe Gibbs! He is the heart of the team. I couldn't believe it when he left, but I knew he couldn't stay away for long. That team is as much a part of his family as is his true family. If anyone can get us back to the Super Bowl, it's him!

I also agree that the death of Sean Taylor(21) was a senseless tragedy. Just when he was finally finding his own way and becoming the person he was meant to become, some misguided thugs took it all away. I hope they pay...

When Joe Gibbs retired the first time,I ran into people or friends of mine would say that they wished the Redskins would find a way to get to the Super Bowl.And I said that the only way they would do that is if Joe Gibbs came back.He came back,but they didn't make it to the superbowl.But,they probably would have if they did not have the interruption of Sean being,as you said, senslesly murdered.That was so heart breaking.Didn't really know of Sean Taylor so much,because he stayed away from the press,but what I did see of him he was a great football player.I feel so bad for his daughter because it cannot be explained to her that he is with Jesus now.All that poor child knows is that daddy is not here.But,with all that Joe Gibbs still took them as far as possible.It is surprising that they did as well as they did under the circumstances.Maybe if Dan Snyder hires Greg Williams as the new head coach and with Joe Gibbs still helping out as he said they can still get to the superbowl.I was so mad when after the game that was their first game after Sean's funeral,when Joe made a mistake.People after the game were saying that he should be fired.Excuse me,now with other jobs and their is a death,especially a bruital one,like that was and unexpected one (he didn't have a disease and they all knew he'd be dieing soon)people get to take time off of work to grieve and get their heads back together.Well,Joe Gibbs and any of the players or staff had that time at all!!

The question is,"Who is your favorite all time Redkin?",not "Which race do you think plays the sport of football better?" My favorite is Darrell Green-black and second John Riggins-white,then Art Monk-black and other greats like,Mark Mosely-white,Doug Williams-black,Joe Theisman-white, the late Sean Taylor-black,Santana Moss-hispanic.That is just to mention some of the Redskin greats,there are more and there are some greats from other teams of various races.

John Riggins is my all time favorite. He ran tough and physical and was durable. I also liked Billy Kilmer and Sonny Jurgensen. These 2 QB's weren't glamour guys. They were competitors who got the job done. If coaches count, I like Gibbs but I also like George Allen. He was a great coach and the players loved him.

Riggo is also very handsome.
