Peoples do say things about my cooking but all of them says that it's great and tasty. I am still not meet my mother in law yet since we are living in a different country to each other. But from what my spouse have told me, I am pretty sure that there is no way she can make a remarks on my cooking. The only thing which I need to learn more is with their traditional food. But mingle around my spouse friends which came from his country, I am still confident that I can cook better then them. They cook all the dish with a same spices and very seldom you can taste a different taste between them. I am glad that my spouse always love my cooking.

The problem is that people have different taste buds so that they taste things differently. For instance some people
like brussel sprouts and some people hate brussel sprouts. To some people the brussel sprouts taste sour and to others they do not taste sour. There is a sour gene that is passed on to some people. The people that love brussel sprouts
have the sour gene so the brussel sprouts do not taste sour to them. For others that don't have the sour gene the
brussel sprouts will taste sour and they will hate to eat them.So feel better,it is not your cooking,it is her taste
buds.My husband likes his cooking better than mine.He is Italion and I am German and Norwegian. We just have different taste buds and taste some things differently. Why don't you have her do the cooking for all of you ? Your husband grew
up with her cooking and she never likes your cooking. To keep this from getting on your nerves change the cook.

You really should tell her to stop complaining or cook for herself. What you could do - not to get complaints - is to sit down with her and choose a recipe to use for whatever you are cooking that night. Since she had a hand in picking the food out, she can't complain.

No one usually says anything about my cooking, but I only cook for my husband and kids and they know better! lol. Did you ever see that part in moster in law where jennifer lopez is cooking for her soon to be mother and law and she slips sleeping pills in the food....lol. Anyways, I wouldn't worry about it. Some people just need something to complain about. It probably makes her feel better about herself to insult your cooking. As long as your husband likes it, keep doing what you are doing :)
