I agree with you. Rivers is just being himself. If you don't like it, it is just too bad.I like that attitude.

I usually don't pay close attention if he talks trash or not. All he's going to have to do is back up his claims and his team has to win. That's what he's going to have to do. Now is the time and is the moment of truth. If the Chargers keep it close, it'll be well and if they win, it'll surely be an upset.

Philip Rivers is like the exact opposite of Eli Manning. If Eli is Eeyore from Winnie The Pooh then Rivers is Bart Simpson. Rivers isn't afraid to say anything to anyone. Sometimes that's a good thing and sometimes that's a bad thing. I don't have a problem with a guy talking as long as he can back it up. San Diego is in the AFC championship game so I'd say that Rivers has backed it up. But he better not talk and smack today because I don't think he's going to be able to back it up. Even if he were 100% and didn't have that knee injury I still don't think that he would be able to back it up.

That is his personality so it is all good. He borders on crossing the line sometimes but as you said, that is him.
He is a competitor and he is a winner. The only thing I never liked about Rivers even back at NC St. is his release. He throws it a little short armed but he gets the job done.
