Cookie dough is ready..but my oven is being stupid...Now what do I do??? |

My grandsons and I made up a batch of peanut butter cookie dough..We turned on the oven after the dough was ready and it smelt like gas in the kitchen...the oven wasn't lit..Just great...so my hubby tried to lite it but it won't lite....
Now I have cookie dough and my no way to make the cookies...Right now I have it in the refrigerator....Will it stay good in there until I can cook them or do I need to freeze them?
Any help will be appreciated....

3. dumblnddzzy (10271) | 2 years ago | "Ball up the cookie dough & freeze. It will stay good for up to one year this way. That's how I always do my Christmas baking. I start in January when everything is on sale & prepare & ball up & freeze. It's just like fresh made, No One will be able to tell that you did this. I've been doing this for years. Use 'Freezer ziploc bags...Lori

8. gabrielle47 (604) | 2 years ago | I know this is kinda late to reply as Im just new here. But as your respondents told you, its ok to place it in ref if you will be cooking it within days but needs to freeze it if you will cook it in a longer time.
So, wondering whatever happened to your cookies? Am free to accept shipment of cookies from you if u want to share coz peanut butter is one of my fave..LOL.
