I'm going to St.Louis, Missouri!

Well, I have been invited to a wedding and I'm very excited to go to Missouri. This will be my first time and I'm looking forward to a great weekend. Has anybody been in Missouri? Can you tell me something in regards to what types of attractions do they have? Do they have big malls?
We are driving from Kentucky to Missouri and it should take about 5 hours and 15 minutes to arrive there. I'm praying for good weather ,so wish me luck.

Well I lived in Missouri most of my life and overall Saint Louis as a city has gone down hill; was it 2006 or 2007 it won the distinction of most Dangerous City in the USA? East Saint Louis kind of spilled over into downtown St. Louis, businesses closed and gang activity flourished. Lots of road construction all the time too from what I recall. Ugh
Moved to Cali a year and a half ago.

Well, I was there on January 2007 to attend a wedding and all I can tell you is that I didn't get that impression. The downtown area looks beautiful and calm and the people were very nice. I didn't see any gang activity and everything looks very clean. Maybe my friends live in a nice and safe area.
