Have You Ever Just Found Out A "Celebrity" That You Knew Had Passed Away?

Congratulations on being the official photographer for them. I've never actually heard of the two actors you've mentioned, but am familiar with a couple of the movies that they've appeared in. 'Wolfen,' and 'Stone Pillow' ring a bell with me. I'm sorry to hear that Rhino passed away. The closest I can come to what you're speaking of here, is that 'many years ago,' I had the priviledge to see Yul Brenner perform live onstage, in the King and I, in which he played his famous movie role of the King of Siam. I remember the dance he did with 'the teacher' ... Mrs Anna, I believe, being fabulous. It was just as wonderful as when he danced with Deborah Kerr in the movie. We had great seats, and so I could really take the whole thing in. Not long after this show closed 'in Toronto,' Yul Brenner passed away. His death onstage had moved me to tears, and I felt a profound sadness, upon hearing of his actual passing. I'd just felt so connected, because I'd really got to see him perform.

And it sucks that he died and you're just now finding out too.

Hi pyewacket! Oh, that is sad. You must have been shocked when you learned about the news somehow. I am sure that somehow you will be affected when someone pass away whom you knew somehow . However, the only celebrity I knew on a personal basis but not that really close is still alive and kicking and I am glad she still is. She was our neighbor before when we were a lot younger and when she was still not a famous celebrity reporter here. Take care!

I knew Chris Farley from SNL. He was funny and very shy in private life. He was also very religious.
He was very fun person to talk to.
I was shocked when he died so young (of a drug overdose in 1997)

That must have been a shock for you, but it may not have been widely publicized when he passed since he may have been out of the limelight for a long time. I don't remember hearing anything about Westerman passing on but then my memory is not always the best. I do remember Westerman from the tv series Walker. I am sad to hear he has passed away and I hope he has seen his just rewards at the hands of whichever God he believed in.

Well, I can't say as I can place Rino, but Floyd fer sure... Lakota arthritis remedy spokesman, among other things. But I hadn't heard that he passed.

That has to be tough finding out that way! It's really cool that you were their photographer! I'm also not familiar with the people you have mentioned but it doesn't take away from the sadness non the less. Again, I'm sorry you had to find out that way!

I can't say that I have known any celebreties that have passed that I have known, no pye.
What a great actor he sounds like however, and I am so sorry that he has passed.
It is amazing as well, the work you have done with your photography, and great that you have the negatives as well.
Speaking of celebreties passing, I myself, am very saddened at the passing of Heath Ledger at present.
It does seem that it does affect us these great stars passing, even if we did not personally know them, and you were fortunate to have met Rino. I'll bet he was an awesome presence to be near.

What an interesting set of circumstances...thanks for posting this. It is a great reminder of how we touch each other's lives...often only passing by like the proverbial ships in the night without full awareness at the time. Then, like you an echo from the past comes back to awaken us to the fact that there was something more.

I have never had something like this occur...but it makes a great read. It is also a loving, respectful tribute to someone who many others may not be aware of...as is the care for me.

Sorry that someone who touched your life has passed away..but you have paid tribute...and the memories of your encounter are here for as long as Mylot allows it to be so.

I was so hopeing that a picture of him was in there.
The only movie that you meantion I have seen is Geronimo Ameerican LEdgen.
SO now I still dont know which one he was.
And I have met Rex Allen A westernmoviestar and singer and his horse Cocoa. Also MArty Robbins a country western Singer . was so sad whn I heard MArty passed away am sure That Rex has probably passe away too. and I have lived in the town he was born Wilcox Arizona VEy small town!
