I just got a email that has me pondering. It suggests that there is such a thing which is called lucid dreams.
It goes on to say that you can dream something that you want to accomplish, a talent you wish to pursue, or furthering your ability to get a job that you wish. It says that while you are dreaming you are aware of this fact and can proceed to do things that you wouldn't be able to try while you were awake. So you give them a try while you are sleeping. It says the result of this is far reaching. While I am not sure I go along with this concept I have also heard that if you dream that you are going to die and don't wake up before you do than this happens. I never remember any dreams that I have and it is said that every person dreams. So what do you all think? Is this something that you think is really possible?

yes the research is quite good on this, lucid dreaming is wonderful if you can do it but it is not an easy technique to learn requires lots of practice. And most people cannot do it.

I'm not sure about the effectiveness of this, but I do use visualization when getting ready for competition in barrel racing. I will gather my thoughts, take a deep breath and close my eyes, then I visualize my run. Making conscious decisions as to when I will lift my reins, when I will kick, the position of my body and postion of my hands with the reins. This helps me to come in the arena focused completely on my run. It cuts out the things that may distract me from staying on target.
