The True meaning of life.....

Have you ever wondered about the reason for existence? What is the true meaning of life, our purpose? Sometimes this thoughts come into my mind.... Some people become famous because they have done something of great value for society. There are those who just live and die without even creating a mark in this world. Have we been created with a prepaid plan already? Or are we the ones who control our destiny? I would love to hear your thought on this things.

I am sorry jpso,I neglected to address your question in regards to a prepaid plan and do we have control over our destiny.In all honesty I do not know.This is something I have reflected on for some time now.All I can add is perhaps,and only perhaps,through our joint endeavours we have reached a point in time where we "can" change destiny.
This also may very well be a part of the equation.

There is no problem at all. Somehow that is my thinking also. We can control destiny but to a certain point only. There are certain things that are beyond our control. What we can do however is do the necessary adjustment to make sure we will survive. Yes, I saw the never ending story. Such a wonderful movie.

I do think we have a major hand in creating our destiny. The rest, luck. I guess being in the right place at the time helps a lot. As for the reason of existance, I think we are just "here". A living organism that evolved. Fortunately, we have a brain and a thumb. That gives us the ability to improve our way of life so that we do not live like other animals. Man has created cultures, religions and beliefs, and they too have evolved into the world that we live in at this time.
