Sylvester Stallone says he used human growth hormone to get buff for the new "Rambo" movie, and defends its use. "HGH (human growth hormone) is nothing," the 61-year-old actor tells Time magazine in its Feb. 4 issue. "Anyone who calls it a steroid is grossly misinformed"What do you think?

Initially, I think it is a terrible message. The use of a hormone to build muscles is essentially the same as the use of a steroid. The body has a natural level of HGH and increased levels of this hormone could have all sorts of effects.
For example, some people produce too much HGH and after their bodies stop lengthening the longbones because the growth plates have calcified, HGH causes their bones to keep laying down bone. Becoming over thick and a burden. Agromegally, I think.

I dunno, he is sometime fairly smart about things. Rambo was cool and his arms were indeed huge in it.
