What is your favorite type of metal?   

I like titanium, steel, gold, platinum, silver, and tungsten.

I like tool and rage so I would say that I like hard metal and then I would say that I like different kinds.

I like most kinds of metal, but lately, I've been leaning more towards death metal. I'm not sure why, but I love the morbid feeling of the music and the lyrics. I got some Cradle Of Filth songs a few days ago, and listened to every single one of them immediately. I still like some classic metal, and the new stuff, and all the other kinds, but at the moment, death metal is my favorite.

I like all metal music, it all sounds good to me.

I tend to like black metal and prog metal. Though I like pretty much every genre, with the one I find least appealing to be thrash.

as of the moment, i really can't tell yet the sub-genres of a metal music.

but i'm currently enjoying cradle of filth and i know they came from black metal though they said they weren't and all their music produces is an extreme metal sound.

a friend of mine has a band playing melodic death metal original compositions. they're underground here. and i think i'm kind of getting a good grasp of what really is that genre.

i'm also listening now to lamb of god, hatebreed and chimaira.

it is actually thrash metal which i was first introduced to, apart from the old school and nu metal. there's a local band here that i really like and it's a thrash metal band. there are also nu metal/rap metal group here and i also like them. i know rage against the machine was a nu metal band. and they've been my favorite since college.

currently, from thrash genre i really like trivium. they're coming here for a concert in august. i'm looking forward to it. last year death angel was here, and then last march shadows fall was here too, a month after they brought darkest hour. maybe dream theatre will come here too. metal is making a crowd now here in the philippines. and i'm enjoying it.

i hope i can all be friends with you and introduce me to some more metal bands.^_^ i'm looking for sites where i can listen to (and download for free if ever) iron maiden, slayer, slipknot and megadeath songs. i'm also looking for arch enemy's, killswitch engage's, etc.

Generally I prefer thrash metal over any of the other subgenres of metal just because of the agression behind it and the speed. I also like a lot of the NWOBHM stuff that came around along with traiditional metal. I'm not a huge fan of death metal or black metal, I just never really could get into either of those genres. I'm not really liking the current metal scene with all these metalcore bands going around but I love a lot of metal from the 80s.

I just the plain old heavy metal. Power Metal and Speed Metal suits me well too. But I don't get into this Nu Metal stuff cause it's like the Metal had loose it's direction. I know that there are many good bands and songs in the Nu Metal scene but I just don't get it. It'a all more to thoise heavy and heavier riff that one's could make and then screams the lungs out and then simply back to normal singing again.
