Have you ever really thought about whether opposites really attract? With Valentines Day approaching I am trying to come up with ways to show my husband how much I truely love and appreciate him. We never really take time out for ourselves and this past year has rough and we have gotton over alot of hurdles. So I wanted to Valentines Day special, and in doing so it made me ponder the question do opposites really attract and if so can a marriage survive? My answer to both questions is a definite yes. My husband and I are major opposites and yes we have had problems but we have always worked them out in the end. We arent perfect but we always work out of differences and try to find a compromise or at least try to meet in the middle. But I have found that being totally opposite is so much fun. He has opened me to try different things and see the world in a different but fun way. I to have shown to read between the lines and live life to the fullest. I have found that my music has changed as well. I have added more artists to my genre that I normally wouldnt listen to and he has become a movie buff like me. I found great recipes through him and broadned my horizons on trying different types of food. We may not always agree but we have fun no matter what. So are you and your husband or wife opposite or is one like the other? My husband and I are like night and day but we are still the perfect fit.

I think that the word opposites is very subjective. I mean, no one is 100% opposite to someone, there's always something that the 2 would agree about or do in the same way. so what's opposite actually? My friend finished university and her boyfriend didn't? is this opposites who attract? But in the same time they are the 2 most passive and boring people on planet (I mean passive and not annoying). In the other hand I have anotherfriend who is finishing University and her boyfriend had already finished it, they are both very active but she is jealous and he is not. And my boyfriend has finished high school and I am finishing university, but we are both active, talkative, and not much jealous people. That's why this saying can be applied on each couple because we are all different somehow.

Yes, I think opposites attract. I think that it is hard to really get along with some one who is just like you, for example, I am a cool person, down to earth, nice and friendly but when I get mad, I can stay mad at you forever and I don't like to say I am sorry, so if I was with someone that was just like me, who don't like to say sorry or who can stay mad forever, I would never be able to have a successful relationship with that person, if you understand what I mean. So opposites do attract
