Dead Church!

I personally think that a dead church is one that is stagnate. There can be much activity but no real growth ether spiritually or reaching out into the community and the world.
A church that has a lot of social activities but is not really growing in it relationship with God. If a church has stagnate member is is a stagnate church.

A church where there is no presence of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God is not preached in truth.

The church that I attend and have for my whole life was almost a dead church. We got a new pastor who is very good. He helped liven it up a little bit and bring in new people. But it still needs a lot of help...My church had a lot of money problems due to the fact that we did not have a lot of regular attending memebers. But now more people are coming and giving more too.

I consider a dead church to be one in which nothing is happening spiritually. A dead church is a church where members go to hear the preacher, the teaching goes in one ear and out the other, and nothing is gained.

maybe you observe one of the dead church in your area...many individual now leave their church because of many reasons...

1. money (members observe that the head of the church after only for money)

2. can't control the attitude of the members

3. they are not active in spreading the good news.


this means that the church are not supported by the Holy Spirit.

i think if you know the kind of "living church"the opposite one is what you want to get
