It just happened yeasterday. I went to a doctor with my son with cold and slight body tmperature. The doctor during consultation said that there was an ear infection and prescribed an antibiotic. I asked if there is any way to avoid an antibiotic for my 22 month old. He said that there was no way. So I decided to consult another doctor soon after leaving the clinic. Just like my guess, the other doctor did not mention anything about ear infection or prescribe one. So the 1st doctor was just trying to make money prescribing medicine for a sickness my 22 month old son did not have.

yes friend, it happens many times that you dont need them but the doctor prescribes antibiotic. Many times there is viral infection and the doctor prescribes antibiotic for it also. Recently I read an article on the same in Times Of India, and it said that antibiotics have nothing to do with viral infection. And on the other hand it reduces your capacity to fight other diseaases, so try to avoid them as much as you can. Try to go to dependable doctor who does not prescribe unnecessary medications.
