Where should you teach if you want to live in China? | | Myself, I live in the city of Xiamen which is an excellent place to be. While it doesn't have as much historical significance as places like Shanghai or Beijing, the city is clean, easy to navigate, and friendly to foreigners. There's a great expat community here made up of ESL teachers, foreign trade professionals, and students. There's comfortable coffee shops and some of the nicest people you've ever met. Also, the cost of living compared to the comfort level is great.

I would then be able to visit Shanghai for shopping and sightseeing once a month. I like to see old buildings, meet the local people and have many friends, both local and a few foreign. I would like to teach English to children at a school with a language department. I am pleased that you like living and teaching in China. Is the cost of living fairly low. I imagine the comfort level would be medium. I am a primary school teacher but I have often dreamed about being an English as a foreign language overseas.
