| true vintage calypso  | | | |  In case you want an example of what is truly vintage calypso, look for recordings by The Mighty Sparrow or Lord Kitchener (aka Kitchener) or Shadow or Valentino. These are true vintage recordings! Some people misappropriate the term vintage for any "happy" caribbean music, and it is so wrong, as I have stated in concurrence with others who feel the same here:
