Pau Gasol will bring a 3rd dimension to the Lakers

Pau Gasol was acquired by the L.A. Lakers recently. He has been the star center for the Memphis Grizzlies since 2002. He has averaged roughly 18 points and 9 rebounds a game.
He will definitely make an impact on the Lakers. He will make them 3-dimensional again. He brings them a scoring option in the low post. He is a go-to guy when Kobe is being triple teamed during the final seconds of the fourth quarter.
He will start at center for now. When Bynum returns from his injury, Gasol will move to power forward, Lamar Odom to small forward, with Bryant and Fisher at the guards spots. All 5 starters could be all-stars.
While Gasol may not add a defensive presence in the post, he will add extra octane to the offense, while Bynum can clean up on defense. It's today's version of the twin towers like the one Robinson/Duncan won championships with.
Will Gasol be the missing ingredient that brings the championship back to Los Angeles?

Most defenately, I think he will be the missing ingredient. Thats not to say that they will win it this year, but Gasol will get them over the "first round exit" hump. Already he is making a big difference, giving the lakeshow a second legit threat.
Since he is in his Prime, and KB and LO are as well, we can surely imagine this team winning much, for the next five to seven years.
Not only will they have monster players like Bryant, Gasol, and suprisingly Bynum... and having a solid complementary player in Odom, AND having such a deep bench... this team will be set to take a shot at multiple championships.

Kobe will be happy for long time.in today;s game vs net,kobe was not excited for his shoot,but it's not different from former,they have Gasol.Gasol got two double help lakes beat the nets with fisher.haha,i think the champion of this year is Lakers

it is a fact that gasol is a good player. he can score, rebound, and pass. how he adjusts to the system of lakers is a question that we have to wait until his first 10 games with the lakers. at first, gasol will disturb the system with many adjustments done by jackson to accommodate him. but in the end, the real score is on how the lakers can win playoff games and pass through the first round, now that gasol is with them. this is close to reality than asking for a championship this early.
