trinale, how much do you pay for hosting? I'm currently working on a website I will put on on my birthday arriving soon, however i dont know any good hosting options for when ive bought my domain. What would you suggest and how much do they charge? The company you use, are they reliable or any known issues you've had with them? Im young but am going for a pretty professional site.

Bballchamp1, I pay, all in all, $56 per month for hosting, but that's going to require some explanation.

You see, I have a hidden agenda, besides up time, customer support and the like when I choose a hosting company. I also look for ones that have an affiliate program. I came online to make money and residual income is where it's at! I also believe that you should promote products you actually use. Everyone needs hosting. Well, at least the serious ones anyway.

I pay $24.95 monthly to Host4Profit for 800mb to host honest-marketing.com and have been a customer there for almost 9 years. They pay you $10 monthly for each customer you refer for as long as they remain a customer. Right after 9-11, I had to leave the internet for about a year (I was in the Air Force at the time) and they continued to pay me, that's why I never left. Host4Profit was created by an internet marketer for internet marketers. The service is GREAT! Customer Support is GREAT! But in all honesty, you can find cheaper hosting. Like I said, I would have left, but then I would forfeit the residual income I'm receiving.

I use Ultimate Marketing Center (UMC) for 1,000mb to host incometeambuilder.com for $19.95 per month. If you're a really serious marketer, you know you need a mailing list and they provide you with unlimited autoresponders (a service that would cost you $18.95 separately) as well as membership management and other tools. They also provide a butt-load of ebooks with resell rights that are good for newbies, but I wouldn't recommend trying to sell them. And the kicker...they pay $8.40 monthly for each customer you refer. Again, up time is GREAT. Customer support is GREAT and FAST, at least in the 3 times I needed support! I've been with them for almost 2 years.

Finally, there's Global Domains International (GDI). This is my latest venture. I pay $10 monthly for 100mb to host moretime4me.ws and they pay $1 for each customer you refer...through 5 levels. This one will be my retirement income. I've been with them off and on for almost 5 years. I kept leaving them to try and promote other products, but when you get right down to it, hosting is the best product to recommend online.

There is another hosting company called HostGator a lot of people use that charges only $6.95 per month if you pay 12 months in advance. I have never used them, so I can't make any comments on their service. From life experiences though, I can say you get what you pay for so be wary.

I actually did a comparison of UMC and HostGator for a friend who was looking for hosting. If you go to the honest-marketing.com website and click on the link titled "recommended hosting", you'll see the comparison. If you look down the side memu, you'll also see how to integrate myLot conversations into your website.

I used godaddy. I like them and I know where you can get some coupon codes if you use them. You can get your domain for $6.95 instead of $9.95.

It took me a long time to decide on the 2 I did purchase. I kept searching on there and would write down the ones available. I was trying to find the best possible ones.

I've heard of people having problems with GoDaddy. I've always used NameCheap for domain name registration. They charge $8.88 for each domain name.

Thanks. No, I am using them for my business sites. They will be redirected to those sites. I did think about the blog hosting tho. It seems that people make more off of their blog if they host it themselves. Don't you think.

Yeah. The most successful blogs I have seen are self-hosted and they use WordPress as their CMS (content management system) which is pretty versatile. It really helps having your own dot-com address for branding purposes.
