Do you enter competitions?

Have you entered in the Helium Channel Champions contest? I have only done it twice as it is such a draining experience.
It is not just draining from the quantity of articles needed but also due to the roller coaster of emotions that it takes you on.
Any secrets on how to cope?

I still don't understand how the contests work there *laughs*. I never did really try writing there, but when I wanted to, I didn't find the topics suitable, therefore, I am still writing on my own terms and according to my knowledge. Anyway, I am wondering if you have to write to many of the topics there to win?

I have struggled at times with suitable topics as well. Been good there lately though. However with the contests you need to have a large portion of highly ranked articles on the topics supplied. It is a lot of work really, especially if you don't win. But then every words we write is worth something somewhere to someone (at least that is what I tell myself)

True, they stay in your profile even if you don't win! Now I understand better, basically, we need to write a lot of articles to win! Now, I might check if there is any suitable topics for me to write on! Wish you good luck there too!

i was writing to the competitions.but got frustrated on seeing my rankings.I usually get fair rankings for the articles which are not in the contests.But if i write for the contests they all will be burried at the bottom.Even though i won twice $5.

yes i have recently started entering alot of competitions i have won tickets a couple of times to concerts and festivals, even on the baccardi express, cds, dvd packs, free meals. Last year i entered heaps of competitions out of a couple womens magazines and i won a voodoo dolls clothing pack and a revlon make up pack, one from each magazine.
