 "I'm going down, down, down..." And I'm actually proud of it. No offense to any of my many friends here with the 9 and 10 ratings, so please don't take this the wrong way. What I really mean is that since I know in my heart I don't ever intentionally offend, insult or otherwise treat anyone rudely and I also know my friends here are open and honest enough, and know me well enough, to tell me if something I said may have been taken the wrong way, I believe that for someone to feel strongly enough about something I said to waste all the time it must have taken to take me down that much in such a short time - well, I guess I made an impact and struck a nerve. I've been corrected by my attacker for my grammar and saw this person quite sarcastically correct one of my friends for an obvious typo but I'll say this much - I know what the definition of discussion is and I know what "Freedom of Speech" a.k.a. our first Amendment Rights means so, hey, if I sometimes incorrectly start a sentence just sue me! I want to thank my friend for starting this interest and I hope he'll welcome me into the fold in earnest.

I'd say your username says a lot about what it takes to be a good member here. I get sick of the "thanks, I agree." and "I don't know what to say" responses. My feeling is this - anyone has the right to post whatever they please here, within reason of course but since they post it here in an open forum, anyone else, myself included, also has the right to reply. I never thought I'd become a girl with a bad reputation at this point in my life...lol

There is a saying, "To thine own self be true." These are the words that I try to live by. If I am giving the opportunity, I need to speak what I feel in my heart is right. I also know I can depend on my friends here to be honest with me and to know that if something comes off wrong I don't mean it to be abusive or offensive or to "reprimand" someone - which I was accused of doing...lol. I mean, who the heck am I to reprimand anyone? I'll give my opinion but, as I've said, these are discussions not monologues or lectures. As for my star, who really cares as long as my real friends here know it doesn't mean I'm a monster!

I am only here to have some fun and make a little bit of spending money. i don't take anything said here to seriously. I think that if more members were like me and you, I think, then it would be more fun here. When someone says anything to me that I don't like, I just ignore it. I read it and then pass by it. I am not going to let anyone here make me feel bad about something I may say. I try to always say "in my opinion" when i am responding to a discussion. I wouldn't think that people here take anyones advice as being serious. For example if someone tells about their problems with their spouses and someone responds with, leave them, I wouldn't think they would actually take that serious and leave their spouse.
So my advice, in my opinion, is don't take people serious here and just enjoy yourself.

I also try to always say "in my opinion" and I wish everyone would realize that this is a discussion forum and when you put your thoughts out there for the rest of the members to read they're going to give their thoughts in turn and everybody isn't always going to agree. I say thank God we don't always agree because if we did there would be no need for a discussion forum, would there?

But someone had to follow all of my posts and rate them all negative to do that. It's crazy really. Who has time for all of that? There are some days I don't even get to post on here let alone go to all of someone elses posts and rate them.

My attacker used to follow me in every response i make and rate me negative or report my discussion.........I thank God that person is no longer in mylot. I dont know where s/he went.

"Crash" said this can't happen, that one member or a group of members can't effectively bring a member's star rating down but I can't buy that. How else does it happen? Did all of our fellow myLotters suddenly find all the posts you and I and others made to be negative in content? I find that hard to believe and it was easy in my case to figure where it had come from. Oh, well, I've gotten over obsessing about it - not that I was really "obsessing", it just hurt my feelings...lol!
