Safe to visit?

Though I am not from Israel, I have great admiration for isrealis for their capabilities, innovative thinking, intelligence etc. Thanks for giving my response a BR.

Thanks for your reassurance, I have also thro krav maga come to respect Israel and Israelis more. I wish the situation could be resolved there.

Don't worry Scoop I'm going to train in Krav Maga and will be staying at a place on the coast with some day trips to Jerusalem, that's if I can afford it.

I don't think I'd be brave enough to go simply as a tourist tho, esp at the moment as there has been a bit of trouble but as ssh123 says they do have probably the best security services in the world.

If you are getting personal protection from the security services, then that is a different matter:) I just know it is one one many (unfortunately) countries around the world that the foreign office warn travellers to be very wary about. Here is a quote from their website:

lol no Krav Maga is a martial art and it's what mossad and the israeli army use and I will be based on the coast, you must be psychic Scoop. I want to go train with the best and as I'll be in the company of Krav experts and I know quite a bit myself I should be ok. What concerns me most is bombing as there is no krav defence for that.

It does worry me too but I also want to train with the best so it's going to be a tough decision for me.

I won't be on my own, I'll be at the krav training centre or on day trips organised by them. I hope I can afford to come as I would love to see Israel as it is a facinating place, your comment has made me feel safer about going, thank you

Thank you, I'm sure I will be safe but it is difficult when all I have is the British point of view, it has been great hear comments from people who know the true situation.
