Why are UFO's sightings kept out of the news these days?

I have not heard of UFO sightings in the news for quite a few years... and I thought that it was something of the past. Obviously I was wrong.
Briton in UFO report says aliens stole dog.
The abduction of a dog stood out among 135 reports of UFO incidents received by the Ministry of Defence last year.
Flaming objects, bright lights behaving erratically, odd shapes flying in the sky and even a village blackout following silently exploding lights are also among the reports of unidentified flying objects from all over the country, according to details released on Friday under freedom of information rules.
But the report from Wales of the dog abduction grabs attention.
"The witness saw spaceships and then said that one of them abducted his dog, car and tent when he and some friends were out camping," reads the report received on Jan 3 this year.
In a report from central England in December last year the witness reported a giant craft shining a light into a rear window before shooting off, while another in June counted 15,000 lights in the sky.

hello there to U...personally, i really don't believe that UFO's does exists...maybe because i haven't seen those yet, unidentified flying objects...i think "UFO thing" is just a fiction, not really true...although, i've seen it on t.v., and they would say that it's true base from their evidence caught on the camera, and i've seen the movie E.T. too...but i still have doubts believing that there's really UFO flying here on Earth and cannot be identified by people who were observing it...maybe, it was just a coincident, i mean, it can be the camera's technical problems which created an object over the picture which seems to be the shape of an UFO or something like spaceships, but it really isn't...or maybe, it can be that they are just inventing stories so that their newspapers will be on the record and become a hit...it really depends on what people believes, i do respect other people's views regarding on UFO's...but for me, it's really hard to believe on it...i guess, it's just people's imagination...have a blessed day to U...may GOD BLESS U & UR family always!!!

I went through the stage of believing in them...
Then through the stage of not believing in them.
Now I am incline to believe in them again.
And the reason why... is that in the last ten years... we have made some huge amounts of discoveries while watching the Universe.
If we can do it... so can they.
And if their civilisation is only 100 or 200 hundred years ahead of ours... that gives them all the technology that they need to build their spaceship and visit us.
Because I believe that in 100 or 150 years time... we will have the technology to visit them.

hello there to U...i do respect your views and opinions regarding UFOs...maybe, you're right, aliens probably does exists...but i really don't know why i still have doubts about them even if there are proofs and evidences on t.v.,newspapers, magazines, videos, etc...maybe because i am still in the stage of "not believing," and i haven't seen them for real...but it's interesting to know more about UFOs...i think if we're gonna watch them for real on the sky would be so awesome and cool...well, if they really existed, i hope i can see one someday...this is really a cool discussion...have a great day ahead of U...may GOD always BLESS U & UR family with so much blessings, graces, lots of love, good life, and with good health!!!

hello there to U agfarm...i do respect your views, opinions, and beliefs...it's really understandable because there are some proofs of evidences about UFOs...i have nothing against those people who believes in UFOs, it's just that i have my own opinion as well, and i haven't seen any UFOs yet in my entire life...but i do respect others opinions, views, and beliefs because we are all equal in the Eyes of GOD...i do admire Aussies2007's principles, and beliefs...i really appreciate his discussions, and the way he responds, which all makes sense to me...and i am so thankful that i've learned a lot from him...for me, he's smart, intelligent, cool, sensible, and an awesome person...have a blessed day to U agfarm...may GOD BLESS U & UR family always!!!

The sightings of massive objects, reported as up to a mile long and half as wide, did warrant attention, and attention it has received.
Flashing strobes, silent, flames out the back side and jets chasing it! On 01-08-2008, at 6:15 PM, CST, my friends and I were watching the sunset when several strobes or flashing lights coming from the east at about 3500 feet and heading west toward Stephenville, Texas were observed. Estimated speed was 2000 to 3000 MPH.
We never head any noise from the craft! They headed west towards Abilene, Texas. Then about 10 minutes later, the craft was seen again. This time with 2 jets chasing. They were headed east towards south Ft. Worth, at about 4000 feet altitude. The jets were unable to catch up with the UFO and went off into the distance at FULL throttle.
