Does it make a diff if you watch a movie on the big screen or at home on tv?  

I believe watching movie in the comfort of your home is far different than on the big screen. You have a lot of convenience and you can watch with the whole family without spending a lot for payments!

Depends on the movie. Something like Jurassic Park, yes, theatre. I love movie, I'd rather snuggle in bed and watch it! Depends on the action I think...

Yes, there is a big difference. I watch the movie in a cinema if the movie is comedy, or adventure, or horror. Because it's so much more fun to watch with friends, or with strangers, their reactions are so infectious. Everyone laughing together, or screaming together... It just creates a good atmosphere for movie watching.

But there are movies that I'd rather watch at home. Like romance and tragedy. I don't want anyone see me cry. hehe. There are also movies that I want to concentrate on, movies that make you think, or movies with meanings. And then there are movies that I want to share with the whole family.

With today's technologies, you can get a theater experience in your own home....IF you can afford it! Watching a movie on the big screen is a shared experience with fellow movie goers. You tend to get the "vibe" of the crowd. "Grindhouse" may have been the best theatrical outing I've been to! We were all into the whole movie from beginning to end. And the buzz after was great! When it came out on DVD, they separated the two and that REALLY took away from the whole thing for me! Plus, when you're at home, there are so many distractions that take you out of the movie.The phone rings, someone visits, the dogs are barking, the neighbors are fighting again, etc. I prefer the theater, but will always buy DVD's to watch when I don't want to go out. :)
