I've been to Las Vegas once, 2 years ago. My husband and I are going at the end of March. I want to do more this time. Last time we just stayed on one end of the strip really. So, tips on where to go? Where to eat? Where to play? Heck, where to stay? Keep in mind, we are on a budget, so no high roller stuff. :O) Thanks!!!

I go to Vegas every year and have stayed at numerous hotels there. You can find specials at a lot of them. If you spend over $150 a night, the Mandalay Bay is excellent, but on a budget I kind of like the Tropicana. It's old, but nice. In my opinion the only hotel worth staying at downtown is the Golden Nugget nowdays. The others are pretty crappy. But I love to shop and gamble downtown. The transit system in Vegas is excellent now and getting to anywhere you want to go is really easy and inexpensive without relying on taxi cabs. There are coupons and bargains all over the place. Check out Vegas.com for ideas and specials. There is a casino a block off the strip called Ellis Island. They have a really great steak dinner for $4.99.

Some hotels now offered a meals per day plan. I think at Circus, Circus and Excalibur, you eat all day at the buffet for $20/day. That's pretty cheap if you like their food or you have a big family. Other hotels would cost you that for one meal.

Hi there! Ive been to Las Vegas before but I stayed @ my aunts crib so I didnt spend that much too. If u wanna see all the great decors it's there 24/7 esp. @ night. It's also great to take a peek at Bellagios dancing water beside it where u can actually view for free.! And u might want to check out INNs (Days Inn hotel in Grand Ave. LV) instead of hotels, for only $58/night. I hope u enjoy ur vacation w/ ur husband! See ya at my page ^_^
