Meds that increase appetite in children

Wow, I have never heard of this and will check back to see what others say. My first thought is why would you want to increase a kid's appetite? I know that my kids can sometimes be picky eaters, but they don't stay that way for long. They cycle through eating a lot and not much. Of course they eat more when going through a growing spurt. I think it all evens out in the end. I would not want my kids to be over weight because that can cause problems when they are older.
