Are you a country or city girl/boy?

I have lived in both country towns and coastal towns. I think I am a fence sitter with this one, do not know which side is greener, lol. What I love about small country towns is the community, you get to know alot of the people in town. You have a great social life, people come over for barbecues and dinners most weeks as they are not too busy in their city life. It is also great as they have some good events such as rodeo, horse races, balls, everyone dresses up and has a ball. However the country towns have some disadvantages such as lack of facilities, shops closed most of weekend, so far away from everthing, extreme temperatures and no beach. I also love living near the coast as I love being close to the water. So I am really undecided. Please share your stories/experiences on what you prefer, country or city/coast?

Though my place is starting to look like a city, I still consider myself as a country boy who loves nature and tranquil silence. I also lived in a city once in a while, especially when I visit my uncle and is looking for a job back then. But I always miss the place where I used to be enjoying my time, as I love to travel and make some out-of-town journeys once in a while. I love living a simpler life, as long as I know I can live even without eating those sumptuous expensive foods. Besides, I know that every thing's fresh when you live in a country/province. From air, water up to foods. I like the feeling of freedom, from worries and problems that most city dwellers face throughout the day..

i was born in london uk lived there till 22-yes agreed the city life has so much going for it as you said partys etc shops stay open longer more places to go and things to do but got married at 22 my husbands parents moved to the country so we followed it was culture shock for me-too quiet shops shut at 8pm no where to go apart from the pub which was only open til 10-30pm i really wanted to turn tail and go back to london-it took me a year to get used to living in the country now i wouldn't change it-london is a rat race violent, there is no way i could live there apart from visiting my family-i love the countryside and over the years there have been many changes and now there are places to go and things to do but eveything doesn't have to be done in a rush its peaceful, quiet and serene-littleowl
