Okay so Good Morning America just announced that the price of a regular postage stamp is yet again going to be increased by 1 cents. The price will be 42 cents soon. How many of you still mail things through the regular snail mail post office? How many of you still pay your bills via regular mail? This change will obviously affect you the most- so I'd love to hear your thoughts on this subject? I personally pay all my bills online, I also do all my mailing via email- I know it may seem a little impersonal to some- but it saves to much more time and since I am paying for my internet service its kind of like I am buying a stamp everytime I email- just my own opinion- whats yours?

I still pay several bills by mail. I think this increase sucks. I don't understand why they can't figure a 5 cent increase for 5 years and be done with it instead of a penny here and there every year. I'm going to buy a roll of the Forever stamps. That should last me for a long time!

I'm sure they will pull them off the market instead of selling them now. Geesh.

There was the mention of the forever stamp on GMA this morning as well- so I think we are safe with that for awhile- until they do decide to pull it :(

I haven't had to lick a stamp in at least 10 years. I also do almost everything on-line now. However, if I absolutely positively have to send some paperwork, I use good old FedEx or UPS.

Good point you bring up with fedex and UPS- I personally use DHL when sending or recieving through snail mail ;)

Yes since the day and age of the internet- I find that I do not utilize much paper bills- I actually recieve a lot of my bills via e-bill. Another thing I gave up is balancing my checkbook- my bank is on real time- so I can go to the store- and come back- sign on- and I will see the transaction instantly- I just love the convienience of the net ;)

I pay any bill that can be paid online online. I pay my light bill right at their office and my car insuracne I go up to the office. I very seldom use a stamp for something. I use email to keep in contact with everyone. I think that is why the post office keeps raising the price of stamps as this online biz is making them lose money badly.

Wow I never thought about it that way- email did put a big dent in the post office's pocket I'm sure. And postal workers make pretty good money from what I hear. Thanks for the thought- I gave you best response ;) Happy mylotting :)

Geez, I thought they just went up! The insanity lol. Yah I dont use them to much I usually call to pay the bill or do it online like you. But every now and then I still use the good ol fashioned mail. I think I still have some 1 cent stamps from last time they went up.
