Has someone you have been in a relationship with ever done something that embarrassed you in public? How did you react? A guy I dated forever ago won tickets to a baseball game and asked me and two of our friends to go with him. I hate baseball but I said I would go because after the game we were going to a club and I didn't want to have to drive separately to find parking. So he picked all of us up and we headed to the game but I got irritated because of the route he took to get us there was going to make us late because of all the rush hour traffic. So the whole way there I was being an evil witch and just spitting comments at him. On the way into the game he went to hold my hand and I pulled my arm away from him. He grabbed my hand and dropped down to one knee in front of at least 100 people and said "I'm sorry"! "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I'm sorry" "I Love you" "I'm SORRRRRRRRYYYYYYY", "The POWER Of CHRIST COMPELS YOU" ,"BE GONE SATAN!" Everyone was just staring at him and me, and laughing. Thank heavens I don't blush or my face would have been as red as a stop light! I pulled him up off of his knee and hugged him too me. I told him he was so lucky that I loved him or he would have just found himself to be very single and if he ever embarrassed me like that again, I hope he likes the couch because that is where he would be sleeping. So has anything like this ever happened to you? Don't be shy. Tell us about it!

I have been racking my brain here trying to think of something closely outrageous as this. The only memory that your post has triggered for me is an incidence that happened in a convenience store with my oldest son when he was about 5. Yes I know its not a relationship type response but at the moment I can't think of anything other then how mortified I was this day. My husband, young son and I were in line to check out at a 7-11 one afternoon. A very young man came into the store wearing a halo with a joining spinal support. If you have ever seen anyone in one of these contraptions you know that they are bolted into their head and back to keep the neck and spine immobilized. I had been holding my Sons hand when he ran and dashed behind his father. I guess the more he looked at the young fella the more frightened he became. He started tugging on his dads hand and saying Daddy Daddy, I looked down and realized something was wrong... I said Ben what is it?? He yelled its the man from the MOON! I am telling you what, I was horrified with embarrassment. This guy was so nice about it. He bent down and started talking to my son, explaining he had been in a motorcycle accident and that this thing on his head was to make him better. He let Ben touch it, and assured him that it did not hurt. Great guy, But man I was flabbergasted :))) Kids are so honest and precious.

Oh my little girl (the one I wrote of in the midget discussion I posted) was famous for embarrassing me. I swear it is written in fine print in a child's job description. Hug and kiss mommy for no reason and embarrass her every chance you get. I had her in a restaurant one day when she was only 3 and she was seated facing the door. The waitress came by and took her order but I said to give me a minute. While I was looking through the menu this really really REALLY fat lady came through the door. (Picture 5'2" 450 lbs., my best guesstimate) My 3 year old angel stands up on her chair and points at this woman and says OH NO MOMMY! You didn't tell that girl what you wanted to eat and now this lady has come here to eat all the food! You are going to starve because there isn't going to be any food left! OMG MOMMY she is SOOOOOOO FAT. I mean she is like [ THIS BIG ] as she held out her arms as wide as they could go to show me. I was too mortified to even turn around. Yes, honesty and preciousness exude from my children.

I love your guy, Cyn! Boy, he's just the thing for you, isn't he? I have a rather smug smirk on my face right now, gotta tell ya. Ok this is going to be hard to describe, but try to bear with me. Hubby and I will walk holding hands and he bends his elbow and pulls my arm behind his back, while still holding hands, so it's like we're arm in arm too. BUT, once in a while, he'll suddenly jerk back, like I'm pulling him over backwards and being really mean. I'm not mean! And it embarrasses me every time! He'll also flinch, and say "don't hit me again" when I go to touch his face sometimes, and it gets me every time! At that point I give him the old "why I outta" and WANT to hit him, but I don't. Cute, huh? Yeah, real cute! snarl...
