is it wrong that my parrot calling me mama!!  | |  today my friend came over and i sat with her in the salon .. my bird as usual start calling me .. and said mama come here.. i answered back mama be quaite and then my friend look at me in a strange way like im kinda out of space .. do you think that there's something wrong in my bird calling me mama?

My pets know that i'm mom, even though they can't say it, verbally. They know that when they're hungry, thirst, want a treat, or just want some love, they come to me. That friend that looked at you strange....psch! they'll get over it. lol.

Lots of people are attached to their pets and they think of themselves as their mommy. I have an aunt and a friend who calls themselves their dogs' mommy. So to me its not strange but I have never heard a parrot call someone their mommy.
