Where Can I Find a Repair Manual?  |

 For years, I have used Chilton's and Hayne's manuals to fix my specific cars. Now, I have a new car that I want to get to know without having to get the shop manual. Are there any of these types of manuals out there anymore?

We went to the dealer and they were outrageously priced, upwards of $300.oo. Can you believe that. We sifted through tons of websites and finally found what we were looking for on ebay, (of course). Its crazy because all he needed was about three pages. Our library use to carry them, but as they wore out they were sold or auctioned for the new building. Good luck with this. you might want to try your own library.

I used to see every type of shop manual for every year and make there, but I don't think they do that anymore. I may make a trip to the main library and see what they have. I love to do as much work as I can on my car myself and it makes me feel good about my car when I know how to do it. I'm afraid I might damage something unless I get a manual for it since this is a much newer car than I had before. | |

| 2. drannhh (7420) | 2 years ago |  Have you asked Mr. Google? I would enter the make, model, and year of the car along with service manual or whatever and see what came up. If that doesn't work, then have you already called the manufacturer or a service center's parts department to inquire?

| desertdarlene (5842) | 2 years ago | Yeah, that's the first place I looked. I even when to the Hayne's website and there was a question about putting out a manual for the very car I bought. They said that they are waiting to see how many of these cars sell. Well, the car is very popular and has been out for a few years, yet there still isn't a manual for it, except for the transmission. The other manuals that the dealers use are really expensive and I really only need a few pages like what was said in the previous post. | |
