I have been writing now for a very long time in my life. Since I was 9 years old. I have been a journalist, not really by choice at first, for 4 months. I can not tell you how excited I am that I have been invited to go to the Supreme Court of NYC to report on the developments of the Guantanamo Bay issues at hand.
Please read my blog if you wish to read what I have to say about it. I try to keep my articles factual so others can make up their own mind.
I can not tell you how honoured I am that I may speak for those who can not, fight for freedom when there are those who can not fight anymore, and expose the realities of the situation at hand in a prospective that is respectable.
As always,
Thanks for stopping by.

For me right now, I can tell you when I opened that email and was invited to go report in the court room on this case, the phone was busy all day. If you know what I mean.

Thank you so much. My talent is not mine to claim. It is from a higher power that just lets me do it.
The world can be changed with the written word, wars start and stop because of words, peoples lives are changed by the written word. I just hope that I can be that change.
Thanks for all of your support.

It does to a point as I have time to write. I am trying to be the good journalist and hope my GitMo piece will give me my Pulitzer.
Believe me I do not stand for terrorism in anyway, shape, or form but I do believe in the Constitution and back my words with the 1st Amendment rights.
Thank you so much for responding again. I should have a slew of my poetry coming out soon on here.
I do have my blog listed upon my profile and hey by the way, welcome to MyLot.
Nice to meet you.

I think that's awesome that you get to report from the NYC Supreme Court! I know journalists are supposed to be impartial, so how do you manage it on something as emotionally charged as GitMo? You must have a lot of inner strength and discipline.

Congratulations!!!! What a wonderful opportunity for you. I am sure this will augment your career path and open other doors for you as well. It is always wonderful to be paid for what you love to do anyway. Keeping a neutral perspective is the mark of a good journalist...I learned that early and I thank the mentors I had who taught me that valuable lesson in reporting.
I will check out your blog and come back for further updates. Wishing you continued success!

Raia,
Murrow is my guy that I love and live by. I have been on his journey in a way, keeping that perspective because the truth is hits harder than a lie. I am headed to DC on the 19th of March for the Protest there and then in June I have to do the political writing for a friend of mine who I write for. He is speaking at the Democratic Convention in Agusta. I am very excited about that. I have not written about the court room because the Defence Att did so bad I am going to do a research and hopefully this will help the case of the innocent that are detained.
Thank you so much for your words. I do have a few things up on the blog I have but have got to actually start putting up more. I start the court cases soon, in 2 weeks. I get to go cover them and since I am in the City it is easy for me to get there.

Thanks for asking. I'm doing ok. I didn't realize there is so much to do under these circumstances, but I'm getting through it. Thanks for caring :)
