I hate surprises....  

Surprises are all well and good if they don't hurt someone in the process. I think it's stupid to arrange a surprise birthday party for someone and in the process make out like their birthday has been completely forgotten. It just makes the person miserable in the days leading up to the surprise. On my 40th last year my husband arranged a surprise party but we went out with my friends for drinks I do every year and as it was my 40th even more friends turned up compared to normally. Many of these friends came to the surprise party the next day too. My husband knows how I feel about surprises that make people feel bad and he wouldn't do that to me. Imagine how I would have felt if everyone I had invited out for drinks had said they were too busy or had made other plans?!

all i would say that surprises are part of life
some are intentional surprises and some are really surprises like winning lottery or lucky draw or things like that

u should take them easy and take a little time before responding. impulse respose is not not good

so control urself. as in impulse reaction u might be hurting some oe or hurting urself and both are not likeable

so take a chill pill and relax

As for me, I don't like surprises too, unless, it is a greeting of something i am not aware of or someone gives me a present that I've always wanted and longed for, But generally, I don't like surprises, similar to that, sudden visits, let us say I like someone but all of a sudden he drops by in a time that may not be suitable for me to receive him. Got me? Honestly, I dont hate all surprsis, let us say my first ex called well I don't deny oops anyway I guess nuff said huh

I also hate surprises. i fear surprises i must say. in most cases i think those surprises will not be happy endings for me. As in life there had been nothing happened so that i can think myself to be lucky.
If i get some gift by surprise, its ok, not anything more.

Hehe, the Scorpio like misteries and surprises, so probably you are not a typical one:P But if you mean the typical daily surprises as undesired or unexpected guests...or may be a party when you are not in mood ...i support. I am the same.But some surprises can be really pleasant. Just dont forget:the people who make them actually want to please you, not to annoy you. So show them your politeness and delicately explain that may be this doesnt work for you.

Sorry to hear what had happened to you, in fact i think surprise is a good thing, at least i like it. as for you i think the problem is not the suprise, but it's your boyfriend who had not arranged and planed things well.if before you see the surprise, everything is as usual, and nothing bad happened, at this time don't you like surprise which drives away the boring life?

I feel you; I don't like surprises as well. I think it has something to do with how it throws me off my regular rhythm. It sounds irrational to some but that's how I feel about it.

Depending on the type of surprise, I do like them. If it is a bad one that will cause harm in the process, then I do not like them. If you know that the person does not care for them, then I would not do this to them.

I like surprises but no one ever surprised me with anything and it sounds fun :( I guess you over reacted when you learned your boyfriend won't go to the party but I guess you should keep in mind that we can't always go places with our boyfriend..Maybe he was planning something special for you..Anyways, if you don't like surprises tell him and let him know how you feel so this wouldn't happen again. Tell him you appreciate his efforts in surprising you but that you don't enjoy it. Talking in a relationship will keep the relationship much closer.:)

when it comes to surprises, i can say im neutral. i can do without it and appreciate it when i do get one. on the other hand, im the one who loves to give surprises. maybe because i'm a hopeless romantic. and because i love making people feel awfully special. but i do get really upset when my plans don't materialize. of course if it's a surprise you would have to consider the person's agenda too. imagine putting up a surprise party in a friend's home and later realized that the friend went on a caribean cruise! that would total blow me into proportion. LOL
