As you know tommorro is Valentines day...I was telling him that i was going to the local store and pick something up for my grandkids...He is a good man but he popped up with this statement"Well i don't know why you are so worried about your grandkids, they never call you or come over to see you" OMG you could have slapped me in the face rather than saying that...My daughter works everyday, and she is always having to take my teenage grandson to work after school, and the teenage granddaughter has lots of things going on that my daughter has to take her too..The little 11 year old has all kinds of things going on,and the baby is 3 years old...I talk to my daughter on the phone all the time and we e-mail each other back & forth..She calls me and i call her..Three weeks ago she came with the kids and spent the whole day,we went shopping and out to eat...I feel with so much going on in her life she does good..I live at least 50 miles from her,and it does not bother me because we live so far apart. When i lived near her i seen them all the time, but with so much going on in our lives,i think this is about normal...It is just me and my husband and i think since i am in good health and i do not work,it is easier for me than for her...What do you think,oh it really hurt my feelings more than made me mad...I will get them something and he does not care at all, but that question he poped out that did bother me...I feel this is about normal under the circumstances.....

It shouldn't surprize you when you think about it. I know you said you're husband is a good man and I'm happy for you he is, but I sometime think men all think alike. I very much doubt he meant anything at all about what he said. He was likely on the pity potty about something totally different but the thing is these men all know how to shake our cage. We're mothers and grandmothers and most if not all men already know how to rattle our cage. All they need to do is say something negative towards our kids and the claws come out, works every time hon!!!

Many men are insenstive boobs. Don't expect anything better.
Not to say that there aren't romantic fellows out there, just most aren't. Or didn't you see Dr. Phil the other day when he had the guy on that said "I told you I loved you when we got married, I'll let you know if things change."
BOOB!
