Peanut butter

It could be your age. I never had heartburn a day in my life until i was pregnant with my last baby 2 years ago.

But if you notice it only happens at night, just enjoy your peanut butter in the morning or pop a pepcid.

Acid reflux is a killer. I love peanut butter and it has never bothered me. I suffer bad from this have never had that problem after eating peanut butter.

Fatty foods can trigger acid reflux and peanut butter is fatty. I'd probably just stick to peanut butter for lunch. Eating anything heavy in the evening isn't great for reflux or heartburn. Dairy products, though, too aren't good for acid reflux. Having milk to treat heartburn or stomach acid is an old wives' tale that's false.

Only some peanut butter does this to me. I recently tried a natural peanut butter, and it hasn't bothered me at all. I have a post about it, but it's from Archer Farms (Target Brand,) and it's Vanilla Cranbery Natural Peanut Butter. I don't know if it's bc it doesn't have additional oils or what, but no oily throat burn issue.

My husband suffers with acid reflux. I know that milk is not a good thing for him. I think it might be dairy in general. To be safe I would probably stick to eating it earlier in the day, if it were me.

It is probably your age. Me? The peanut butter sticks at the back of my throat because I no longer have my back teeth to keep them from getting there. I do not have that problem like you have. Usually it could be too much fat. Have you tried to use a lite kind? If you are using a hydrogenized kind, it might be best switching to one that is all natural. I know they are more expensive, but would be better. It could be an allergy.
