Please tell me this is a joke. I just heard that Scarlett Johansen (no idea how you spell her name, but you probably know who I am talking about) is going to record an album (that is right, she will sing) with Tom Waits covers. Tom Waits is God!!! SJ is an actress. I think everybody should comment and we should get a petition to stop her. Any support here?

I think its a great idea for her to record an album. It'd be interesting to find out if she has vocal or musical talents, because she's a great actress. Anyway, there are already legions of actresses who turn to recording albums as another way to add up to their achievements. I will definitely support her in the sense that I won't criticise her.

Of course it's a great idea of her to record an album. I'm by no means saying she shouldn't. However, of the thousands of artists that she could choose from, why Tom Waits? Many people have tried, all have failed. He is unique. And brilliant.
Many actresses indeed started singing, but how many actually made it? As a singer, that is.
As for the not criticizing her, it's kinda hard to say that before you heard the songs, no?
I really hope she does a good job, but I fear Tom Waits is just a bit too much for her.
