When was the last time you lied...... |
| |
| to get out of work? What as the lie? Mine was last week. (no I don't make it a habit and I pretty much never take off work for anything except illness). My excuse was I need to get my drivers license renewed and take my daughter for her vaccinations, but I really had an appointment at the spa for a massage treatment. It was a birthday/christmas gift from a family member. | | | | | |

| | I never have to lie to get out of work. I have so many doctors I have to see during any given month that they make the excuses easy for me. I guess back when I was much younger I lied to leave work early some Fridays but I never called in sick then went shoe shopping or anything like that. | | | | | | |

| | I do lie very rarely...usually i don't want to . I speak only what my heart says. Last time i life was a month ago. What happened i had to visit another city where i my friend was waiting . I promised him i would be there within one week but i remained at my home for next days. After 10 days he called me back that when i was coming. I told him i had reservation after 3 day which was not true. So again when he called me after 3 days i had to tell because of some emergency i had to visit s6e other city and that was my friends hometown. Ok the last time i lied.. Its true that i had some business which i cannot disclose here...its too personal..though i had no intentions of lying but i did... Thats it | | | | | | |

| | I think a lot of times lies are unintentional. We mean to say one thing, but something else just comes out. I think it's our sense of self-preservation or self-defense taking over. We are afraid of how the other party will react to the truth so our mind creates what we think will be a more benign response. Thanks for post. | | | |

| | I was diagnosed with diabetes nearly two years ago and until about 4 months ago I was on diet control. I started taking medication the week after I turned 40 and I didn't react too well physically to the medication at first. I called in sick to work and ended up taking 4 days off work saying I had a bad stomach upset which was brought on by the medication - this was only partly true - but the real reason for taking the 4 days off was that I went into a sort of depression at having been told I have to take medication for the rest of my life. My boss was pretty cool about it when I went back to work the following week as I did imply that I was really freaked out about being "reallY" diabetic as up until I was prescibed medicine I deep down thought the diabetes wasn't real and would go away :( ! I've accepted it now but that was the lie I told - that I had a dodgy tummy, but it was really an extension of the truth I guess! x | | | | | | |
