The Biggest Mistake I've Made in my Life Starts with IF ONLY

Is that so bad? Is it worse doing something and making it a huge mistake or having to live the rest of your life wondering what would have happened if only you had done it? I used to say, I never regret anything I've done because at the point in my life that I had done them they were exactly what I wanted to do. But really that is inaccurate. Because there are things that I have done and now years and years and years regret having done them because they affected some other area of my life. I wouldn't ever wish to go back and change anything I've done because I am truly happy now and I always thought that changing just the slightest nuance from my past would alter my present. But which do you think is worse, doing something making the mistake and having a regret or spending the rest of your life wondering where you would be if you took the chance and did it?

I cannot answer that question for you. All I know is that I have gone through life taking those chances and having an awefully good time doing so. My life has been a great challenge. I have enjoyed most of it. Most of the "bad times" were things that were out of my control so I have no regrets about them. I could not have done anything to change the situation. I do know that if I had not taken the chances that I took I would have had a very dull boring life and so would my kids. They would have grown up to be dull boring women who did not have the courage to take charge of their own lives and take chances themselves. My girls are quite the opposite. The are outgoing self assured young women. They are not afraid of anything and they are going far in the lives that they have chosen for themselves. I am very proud of them. They are so much more than I ever was, and this is just what I was hoping for them! No, I have no regrets! Shalom

I think it would be worse to spend the rest of your life wondering. We're human we are bound to make a mistake or two. That is one way we learn and grow. Ask your self this what did you learn from your mistake? Did you grow from it? IF you answered yes then do you think that it was a waste of time to gain that knowledge that you might not of gotten any other way? Have a nice one...

I usually go for things. I haven't really wondered about anything because if I feel I have a need or want to do it. I do whatever it is and deal with the consequences later- good or bad. Not trying would make me have regrets. Trying something and seeing how it turns out is a lesson and experience. At least this is the way I see things.
