Do you think there is a "magical amount" of nicotine to maintain the addiction?

I know that this discussion is probably politically incorrect. The truth of the matter is I smoke cigarettes. I was watching the T.V. and they had a commercial about the "magical amount" of nicotine. It made me wonder if that is necessarily the case. I have been smoking the same brand of cigarettes since I began 12 years ago. Newport 100's. I began smoking at the age of 16. I am now 38. By the grace of god, I have had no underlining health issues. My dad was hypnotized and hasnt smoked for almost 10 years now. He smoked for over 30 years. Dont get me wrong I am not promoting smoking. I am just wondering how fellow myLotters view smoking. Live and let live. Do you smoke? How long have you smoked? How many times have you tried to quit. Please share your stories.

I have been smoking for about 10 years and I have tried to stop I don't know how many times. It is truely one of the hardest things in the world to stop doing.
