Are there anybody here enrolled in distance learning? If so, how's the program running?

I have been taking online classes for a few years now and I love it. Being a single mother, it is great because I can work around my work schedule and the kids activities. The only problem with it is that you need a lot of self-discipline. You have to be able to commit to spending almost all of your spare time on your studies.

So there is no hassle whatsoever with the lessons, only the schedules? I mean the time you devote to studying?

I think every institution varies, but I don't usually have to be anywhere at a specific time. However, there are deadlines for assignments.

I enrolled in an online course to learn how to use Microsoft Publisher. It was offered by the local collge. I think I would have gotten more out of the class had I been an actual classroom. On the other hand I work for a company that developed online training for corporations. For learning on-the-job I would say online training is much better than sitting and listening to a Facilitator.

My son has done IT course M.S. by distance Education only. He has started MBA course also But one has to have strict timings for study etc. You have to be very disciplined in your programs. You cannot postpone anything, answer all the papers and attend the online classes, write and send the test papers etc. Only then it will be fruitful.
