Can an entrepreneur really trust a Virtual Assistant?

I love this question! Please follow me through this scenario: You discover a leak in your bathroom pipes. You are faced with three choices. 1. Ignore the problem and hope it goes away on its own. Of course, it is possible the leak will get worse and create additional damage; 2. Attempt to fix it yourself! Surely, there is a 'How-to for Dummies' book you can borrow at the library! You might have to reschedule your life around it but it will only take a day or two... you hope! 3. Call a professional for this specific task. Assuming you tried the first two options unproductively, you're now ready to admit you need to consider option number three. The first thing you do is shop around. Find someone you're comfortable with, someone with a good reputation and references. You trust a qualified individual to repair the damage effectively and promptly. Once said professional (probably certified and licensed) has managed the crisis, you are presented with the invoice. With the relief of finally having everything up to par, you pay the fee without question or concern. The job is done, and done well! (You can claim you did it yourself to your friends later or recommend the plumber; that's up to you!) The same process is expected in relations to a Virtual Assistant. The collaboration between yourself and your new Virtual Assistant will develop much in the same way. Are you still struggling with the administrative responsibilities of your business? Why not call a Virtual Assistant and see how they may help you?

I think people are reluctant to call virtual assistants because they believe that since they work for themselves they have to do everything themselves.

It is a shame that some have a hard time letting go of some of their tasks when they could be so much more productive by outsourcing! However there are more stories of VA in the news and I strongly believe that when the world clues in, it will be HUGE! A lot of people will think NOW WHY DIDN'T *I* HIRE A VA? lol
