1. ssh123 (18427) | 8 months ago | My parents have 9 chldren (including me). That size is awfully big. I have one son. This is really bad, because the single child faces a lot of problems to get along with others, unless he is grown in an atmosphere of 2 or more children. In my opinion 2 should be alright with a gap of 2 years and if there is urge by both parties, one can go in for 3 with a gap of 3 years. All said and sone, iti s difficult to manage more children, unless one has made sufficient provision like bigger house, all facilities like education, recreation, sports, schools, conveyance etc. Most parents in these days prefer to have more but restrict to 1 due to economic conditions.

2. Sillychick (1800) | 8 months ago | There is no ideal family size. Some people will do well with more children, some with fewer. I have one son and I am happy with our small family of 3. Other people I know have 3 children and it works for them. I would be pulling my hair out with 3.

3. phillygirl606 (827) | 8 months ago | There is no ideal family size. It all depends on the people in the relationship. Me I have one kid, and I have no desire to have any more. I love him to death but I just do not want to go through it all again. he's almost 7 years now and I am completely comfortable with no having any more.

4. steffyhoney (649) | 8 months ago | I guess 3 is usually what most have. I guess it depends on the people and their situtation. I have one daughter and Idk if I could handle another right now. Shes 4, and is a handful. I want a baby badly but once it gets out of that baby stage it wont be so easy.:)

5. Gemmygirl1 (2628) | 8 months ago | There's no such thing as an ideal family, some people are more than happy & capable of taking care of lots of children then there are families who prefer to have no children. I think it depends on you personally & how you think you would cope with any number of children. Ideally for me will be different for the next person, but, we have 1 child now & another on the way. Things are working out well & things run smoothly:) I believe i'd like to have 3 kids but it will all come down to how well i manage with 2 children when the new one is born. I'm not big fan of only children so for me, Ideal would be 2 or 3 - no more than 3 though as my home isn't big enough & even though we're financially comfortable, we're not able to renovate to accomodate extra children!
