Just for a light discussion...
I can't tell who between Rowan Atkinson and Steve Martin is funnier since they both made me laugh so hard from beginning to end of my watching their movies. I also watched their other movies too. They are very good comedians. I can say their styles are clearly apart but I like them both. I want to know who you think is better. No rude or sarcastic answers please. If you can't handle pure discussion, please don't bother.

Thanks for the post. I like both but there is a difference. I liked Mr. Bean a lot but soon got tired of him. Steve Martin has a very good comedy and made a lot of funny movies and he was great on "Saturday Night..Live"
But I think there is a difference in humor as my wife is from the island of Negros Occidental and we get the Filipino channel and I like to see Wowee? will this to me is very funny show as I don't speak very much tagalog or visayian? and my wife is not a good taecher as she has no patience with me and we have been married for 22 yearssorry to talk so much..have a nice day..its winter here in Michigan USA..very bad storm and freezing rain just turned to ice an up to an inch of snow..worst Febuary I have seen..50 inches of snow in one month..lol

lol. Thanks for the response. I guess I'm just fond of comedians who are very good at turning themselves into a complete idiot. They're just so cute. Though their movies are hysterically funny, but still, they are generally wholesome. That's what I appreciate better than some parody movies that are not suitable for children.

For the first time, there is one who sided with the Englishman. Most of them would like the American. All I can say is that. I've never seen Rowan play serious roles yet. Although Steve did comedy as usual in Cheaper by the Dozen, he was a bit serious there because he played the role of a father of 12 kids. But I don't know...I'm still torn between them up to now.

I like Steve Martin better though Rowan is one of my favorites too. I saw The Pink Panther of Steve and it was so hilarious, I like it. I also saw some of his movies and it's all good. Rowan's films are good too but he has this nice little drama/comedy film that I like. It's entitled 'Keeping Mum', try looking it up if you haven't seen it yet.

lol! i love steve martin in The Pink Panther but seriously Rowan Atkinson can make you laugh even if he's keeping his face straight. Inspector Clouseau's an abomination to the serious world. jeez, hes number one. i love the hamburger pronunciation scene.
