I Can't Believe This

I saw an eBay item I'd like to buy, but had a question first. Its progesterone cream and some have other ingredients in them that aren't so good for you. I asked the seller for a list of ingredients before I decided to bid. Here is the answer I just received: "Sorry I just don't have time to list them all. This is an 800# on the back if you want to call and maybe they can give them to you" and she lists the number. I just responded with "Thanks, you just lost a sale". The auction ends tomorrow and she has no bids. Am I wrong in thinking that was a pretty dumb thing to do on her part?

add this to her review too, you I think just got saved from being ripped off. May be it didn't have that list printed on the back, you never know.

Probably you can give her a rating or something. There must be a way to warn others about her. I will also look at ebay policy on this issue

No, it was a hormone product you put on your skin. Trust me, the ingredients were there, she said she didn't have time. I can't give feedback on her since we didn't have a transaction. If I had bought the item I could leave feedback, but I (obviously) didn't.

I would think if she has the time to answer at all, she has the time to read & list the ingredients too. I wouldn't have bid either if that's how they handle their customer service.

Yep, that was exactly my point. No matter how badly I might have wanted it, I was NOT going to reward her for bad customer service.

I think she was very rude about it Also I think they should have to give the Ingredients for Health and Safety reasons There could be things in it that could cause a bad reaction to someone I do not blame you for telling her she lost a sale

Exactly. She took the time to look for the telephone number, which no doubt was somewhere on the packaging, just like the ingredients. I just couldn't believe she had done that. I've run across rude employees in retail establishments, but in this case, the woman was the 'owner'. Can you imagine going into a local mom/pop store and asking a question and being told something like that? That's in effect what she did.

No you are not wrong, i would have done just the same. I do think the standards of E.bay are falling as quickly, and in direct proportion to their increase in fees blessed be

This wasn't any fault of eBay, it was this particular seller's choice to do (or rather, not do) what she did. I sure hope she isn't trying to make a living with that form of customer service.

Being a seller myself I probably would of tried and given some of the ingredients pretaining to the product but also asked you for your personal email to give you more detail information.(Especially being that ebay limits the space of typing. But that is me because the whole purpose to me of selling is to sell and I would of tried some how to get that answer for you. But you weren't wrong because I would've done the same thing I wasnt to know what I'm buying and if you can't answer my question(s) you don't need to sell it(especially not to ME!!)

My personal email was revealed to her when I sent the question, so that's not an issue. She was lazy, pure and simple. No way was I going to reward that, I don't care how badly wanted/needed the item. She could have given it to me free at that point and I would have declined.

Some people are not really born as salesman or businessman. And I admire people who can sell anything even something that don't exist. We do have our fair share of bad day huh, my friend. It's her lost. The customer is always right, as they say.

I agree! I couldn't sell water in the desert. This was just totally uncalled for, though. And yes, her loss.

I don't think you are wrong...How many ingredients can it possibly have that she doesn't have time to list them?...Offering you the 800# was a nice gesture, but that didn't get her the sale...

If it has that many ingredients that she can't take the time to type them, maybe it's not something you want to be using anyway! LOL. Sounds like she didn't want to sell it all that badly.

I thought maybe she had difficulty reading fine print or something when I realized she got the number from the same packaging too, so there went that idea. I'm still reeling about it. I went to bed shortly after getting that and Tom and I had more fun joking about it. He said he is going to set up a company and provide 'good' customer service like that and see how far he gets. If she can make a buck with that attitude, he should be able to make a fortune! :)
