cooking toast....

When I prepare toast I like the upper part is nice golden, crisp... a little black! My mother instead like little cooked just golden.
how do you prefer toast?

I prefer my toast in between you and your mother's preferences. I like my toast to be hard enough so you can't bend it, but I don't really like my toast becoming dark brown-black. A nice gold-brown is my preference.
