The planet pluto was discovered in 1930. From what source name of pluto is taken?
Pluto is no longer a major planet in our solar system... because astronomer's deemed it to be to small to be categorized as such... but then... the name pluto is the Roman name of the Greek god Hades... god of the underworld... brother of Jupiter/Zeus and Neptune/Poseidon... I think Pluto is the appropriate name because it is fartest from the sun... compared to the other planets...
